Getting Started
How many students can I have in a class?
Unlimited! Add as many students as you need.
Can I create multiple classes?
Yes, you can create and manage as many classes as you want from your dashboard.
Do I need to enable all 6 stages?
No! Use only the stages that work for your classroom. Many teachers start with just Stage 1 and add more later.
Student Privacy
Do students need email addresses?
No! Students log in with simple codes. No email, password, or personal information required.
Is ClassMana FERPA/COPPA compliant?
Yes, we take student privacy seriously and comply with all major education privacy laws.
Can parents access student accounts?
Students can share their login code with parents to show them progress. Parents don't need separate accounts.
What data do you collect on students?
Only student names (as you enter them) and game progress. No personal identifying information.
Class Management
Can I reset student progress?
Yes, you can manually adjust any student's Experience, level, health, gold, or mana.
What if I make a mistake giving Experience or strikes?
You can manually adjust stats to correct errors. All changes are logged in the activity page.
Can I have a co-teacher help manage the class?
Yes! Invite co-teachers with customizable permission levels.
What happens at the end of the school year?
You can archive classes (keeps data for reference) or delete them (permanently removes data).
Technical Questions
What browsers work with ClassMana?
Modern versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
Can I use ClassMana on mobile devices?
Yes! ClassMana works on tablets and smartphones, though some features work best on larger screens.
Do I need to install anything?
No, ClassMana is entirely web-based. Just visit the website.
What if the website is down?
Check our status page for updates. Downtime is rare and usually brief.
Customization
Can I customize the power list?
Yes! Enable/disable powers, change costs, and rename them to fit your classroom.
Can I create custom shop items?
Yes! Add your own rewards with custom names, descriptions, and prices.
Can I adjust how much Experience students need to level up?
Currently it's fixed at 1000 Experience Points per level, but we're considering customization options.
Can I change the class name?
Yes, anytime from class settings.
Troubleshooting
Students can't see their avatars
Make sure WebGL is enabled in their browser. Try updating the browser or using a different one.
I can't log in
Try resetting your password. If that doesn't work, contact info@classmana.com.
Changes aren't saving
Check your internet connection. Make sure to click "Save" buttons when present.
A student's login code isn't working
Verify the code is entered exactly as shown. You can regenerate codes if needed.
For Students
Getting Started
I forgot my login code, what do I do?
Ask your teacher to look up your login code from the class dashboard.
Do I need a password?
No! Just your username and login code. That's it.
Can I use ClassMana at home?
Yes, if your teacher has enabled student logins (Stage 2). Just use your login code.
What if I'm in multiple classes?
You'll have a different login code for each class. Keep track of which code goes with which class.
Earning and Using Resources
How do I earn Experience?
Your teacher gives you Experience for good behavior, participation, completed work, and achievements.
How often can I use powers?
Whenever you have enough mana! Each power has a cost. Use them wisely.
Can I give mana/gold to friends?
Usually no. Each student earns their own resources. Ask your teacher about their specific rules.
Why did my mana go down?
You used it to cast a power. Check your activity to see what you spent it on.
How do I get more gold?
Earn it from your teacher for special achievements and exceptional work. It's rarer than Experience.
Avatars and Customization
Can I change my display name?
Your teacher controls your name. Ask them politely if you'd like it changed.
Why can't I equip certain gear?
You haven't unlocked it yet. Keep leveling up to unlock cooler gear!
Can I have more than one avatar?
No, you have one avatar per class. But you can customize it however you want!
Will I lose my avatar if I level up?
No! Your avatar stays, and you unlock MORE options as you level up.
Health and Strikes
What happens if I get a strike?
You lose health points. If you reach 0 health, you become fallen and can't use powers until you redeem yourself.
How do I redeem myself?
Ask your teacher what you need to do. Usually it's a reflection, meeting, or showing improved behavior.
Shopping
What if I can't afford what I want?
Keep earning gold! Or look for cheaper items. Save up for what you really want.
Can I get a refund?
Usually no. Think carefully before purchasing. Ask your teacher in special circumstances.
When does the shop get new items?
Ask your teacher! They control shop inventory and may add new items anytime.
What if my purchased item doesn't work?
Tell your teacher immediately. They can fix it or refund your gold.
Technical Issues
ClassMana won't load
Check your internet connection. Try refreshing the page or using a different browser.
My avatar looks weird
Try refreshing. Make sure your browser supports WebGL. Update your browser.
I can't click on things
Make sure your browser is updated. Try a different browser. Clear your cache.
My progress isn't showing
Refresh the page. Check your internet. Ask your teacher if they see your progress.
General Questions
Is ClassMana a video game?
It uses game mechanics (Experience Points, levels, avatars) but it's a tool to make learning more engaging, not a game you play for hours.
Do I get rewards just for playing?
No, you earn rewards by doing well in class - participating, completing work, showing good behavior, etc.
Is this instead of grades?
No, ClassMana is separate from academic grades. It's a motivation and behavior management tool.
What if I don't like games?
That's okay! You can still participate and earn rewards. Think of it as earning points for good choices.
Can I suggest new features?

What languages is ClassMana available in?
30+ languages! Change your language in settings.
Does ClassMana work on my device?
If you have a modern web browser and internet connection, yes! Works on computers, tablets, and phones.
